Calling ALL Canadian Barbers to Enter the ABA Barber Challenge!
The Allied Beauty Association of Canada (ABACanada.com) recently announced a new challenge for Canadian Barbers! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for junior barbers from across Canada to showcase their talent to a national audience and to the top hairstyling talent!
After the success of the first #ABAHairChallenge, the Allied Beauty Association has extended this mentoring program to barbers across Canada. Canadian barbers from coast to coast are welcome to enter now online at https://abacanada.com/barberchallenge. Finalists will be selected from their video applications and will be invited to showcase their talent in three weekly challenges. Each challenge provides an opportunity for creativity, imagination and execution. Finalists will transform COVID friendly mannequins, video their creations and submit them online for all the world to see! Deadline for entries is Sunday, January 30, 2022 at 5:00pm EST.
Four of Canada’s top barbers will provide expert guidance and mentorship to the contestants throughout the challenges.
Benson Hedges (BaBylissPRO BARBERology)
- Master Barber for The Babyliss Pro Barberology Team. Featured artist and multiple award winner at industry events across North America.
Bradford Davison (American Crew)
- National Education Manager for American Crew. Over 20 years in the industry providing mentoring and guidance to young professionals.
Jeremy Wilde (Redken Brews)
- Owner of Wilde Cutting Club in Montreal with a passion for human connection and helping people feel their most confident
Zachary Ferguson (Wella Company)
- Experienced educator and hairstylist with almost 20 years’ experience in the industry. Wella Canadian Trainer of the Year 2019 and 2020.
